SUMMER

"Then followed that beautiful season ... Summer ... Filled was the air with a dreamy and magical light; and the landscape lay as if new created in all the freshness of childhood." - Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Summer is more than a shift in temperature-it's a shift in habits and mods. As the sun stretches longer across the sky, so do our days stretch into playful routines and warm traditions. From waking up late without the shrill call of school bells to spending evenings outside chasing dreams, summer habits bring a refreshing change from the structured months of the year.

One of the most cherished summer habits is spending time outdoors. Whether it's beach days, ice-cream runs, late-night walks, or stargazing on rooftops, summer encourages people to step outside and embrace nature's vibrancy. As John Lubbock once said, "Rest is not idleness ... and to lie sometimes on the grass under trees ... is by no means a waste of time.''

The long summer days offer more than just light; they offer timetime to rest, travel, and rediscover hobbies. School's out, vacations begin, and laughter fills the air.

Reading under trees, picking mangoes, learning a new skill, or simply napping during the heat of the afternoon-summer allows us to slow down and reconnect.

As Ralph Waldo Emerson said, "Live in the sunshine, swim the sea, drink the wild air.'' Summer, with all its golden hours and soft nights, is a reminder to live lightly, fully, and freely.
